Afternoon visit to Steeple Ashton

Thursday 18th May, our afternoon visit to Steeple Ashton was a great success. Our Guides, showed us round the village and for the brave, up the 135 spiral stairs to the top of the Church Tower, stopping on 3 floors on the way up to see the clock and bells also to have a rest! Afterwards we had tea and cakes in the Village Hall. A very enjoyable afternoon.

Our next visit will be on Thursday 15th June. Assemble in Canon Square at 7pm for the "Tombstone trail". Ivan Turtle will guide us round Melksham Cemetery pointing out some interesting graves of former famous Melksham resident's.
